Circuit shaped like the UK

Saw this while browsing around, thought it was quite interesting. I don't think it's ever likely to be created, but nice to look at nevertheless.



I'm not convinced about the Welsh part of the circuit, but I don't think it looks like a half bad track. Nifty idea anyway.

Pretty cool, and nicely created. The track however doesn't look great! Northern Ireland looks a bit of a mess (although I've never been there)

I think Northern Ireland is supposed to be a kart track. A GB track might work, you could run two tracks (and the karts) at the same time.

I like the concept, maybe the elevation changes reflect those of the UK so even though the Scottish and Welsh parts look a bit simple, the nature of the topography would make it a challenge.

Interesting - obviously Silverstone's carparks and fields, hence the lack of elevation changes.

Similar to Silverstone it looks like a "big power" circuit for the most part, due to the way a lot of the coastline has had to be simplified.

I think they'd need a bigger gravel trap for the right hander as you turn 90' right and head over to North Wales.

Also, to make it more commercially attractive it would make sense if you could run certain sections of it independently, like they do with Silverstone. This means that you'd need two roads along the Scottish Border, for example, so you could run England and Scotland separately. Wales would be a waste of time on it's own, so having it as an optional offshoot of the English track seems sensible.

Who'd have thought it could mirror not only the topography but also the political landscape!

The welsh and scotch circuits look rubbish, and probably wouldn't get any use bar race school days.

For me the main circuit to run would be England and scotland, the wales section doesn't add anything at all and takes away a good long straight.

For a circuit built around a gimmic it looks ok, ignore the gimmic though and it just looks like a fairly average track.

Also, looking at the circuit lengths, thats alot of corners in a short space.

The coast is pretty much all at sea-level, so essentially the track would be flat, if accurate. But maybe make Scotland 'hilly' to fit the stereotype. You could have guns around the Irish kart track. Sheep and gays on the Welsh one. 6-toed marshals around Norfolk and Suffolk. Kent could be especially bland. Cornwall could be particularly windy, but otherwise identical to Norfolk....

All just to fit silly, bad stereotypes!

Think it was a btcc meet at thruxton a number of years back that the back cover of the race programme had a similar thing done with the Jaguar logo. Will try and dig it up.
Another one I can think of is the bonus track on a F1 game on the playstation was the outline of an F1 car
