Hi All,

If I set my bank statement address to another caddress other than home, does this make any difference?

It might do. If your registered address is the address you are registered to vote, banks let you set up a postal address but it may be used as part of your credit score.

Worse thing you can do is change your address and leave your name on the electoral role at the old property.

To be more specific I mean settin my postal address to my place of work, instead.

Why not just get your mail diverted to your work address via Royal Mail?

Then No, if your bank actually have your home address on file, but just post your statements to your work address for you it will have zero impact on your credit file, but if you're worried why not set-up e-mail or internet statements.

Where as a postal redirection might have an effect, not a negative one per-se, but it can create a situation where you're exempt from some automated underwritting credit in favour of having your applications pushed under the nose of a human underwritter which slows everything down.
