My 2001 225 TT has developed a strange problem, the hazard lights keep coming on without me pressing them. It started a couple days ago and after. I turned them off I would get 15 or more minutes without them coming back on. The car was parked in my office car park.

It then flattened the battery so when. Jump started it today the problem is still very much there and now as soon as I turn them off they go straight back on again!!!

Any ideas? Your help is much appreciated!!!!

Hi all, I'm.new to the forum and I fortunately and unfortunately have a Audi TT 2002 225. I have the same issue with the hazard lights coming on after locking. Does anyone have a link to a recommended site in order to clean the stalk. 😊

I'm becoming an expert In Audi TT with all the issues I've had in just a couple of years. I aim to battle through these as bug fan of the car. A list of what I've replaced is below.
Engine top and bottom through cam belt failure.
New cam belt.
2 new alternators (1st fitted by Halfords).
2 batteries 1st fitted by Halfords.
New power steering pipe and... Wait for it five power steering pumps all fitted by Halfords.. Now thankfully working correctly.
Brakes and discs all over.
New fuse cluster.
😊 and the end of the tunnel is close. Once hazard light issue is fixed.
Thanks all

Possibly the switch, as I've found that the hazard circuit on my Fabia is a toggle on /off to the electronics. Switch flashes a short to the electronics to toggle on the hazards, and next press toggles the hazards off. IF the circuit of the Audi ( another VAG group ) car is identical to Skoda, then removal of the hazard switch should stop hazards coming on if switch removed when hazards are off. However, I'd check diagram first.
