I'm just about to collect a '07 Saab 9-5 Aero which I'm very happy with. It does however, sport the infamous 'Dame Edna' headlight surrounds which I'd like to delete.

After much consideration (ok, Googling) I think vinyl wrapping the best way. It's removable and hopefully pretty stone chip resistant.

Do any of the 'whole car wrapping' firms tackle such small jobs?

Anyone recommend a suitable company in the East Midlands?

Most car signwriters- wrap companies would give it a shot i'd imagine. Either that or try it yourself if you have spare material and lots of patience!

Do it yourself! You'll spend less than £5 on ebay for the vinyl, and all you need to put it on is a hairdryer, an old credit card and some patience. If you get it wrong, just peel it off and try again. I've wrapped various small trim bits on my last couple of cars to hide overly blingy chrome and alloy bits that have lost their paint/lacquer.

Get another set of Dame Ednas from a breaker so you have a spare set that you can keep for best or wrap. Sell the spare set with the car or sell separately if the next buyer doesn't want them.

You could always PlastiDip them yourself.

Probably easier DIY than wrapping headlight surrounds.

I tried on my Bini and failed, but that might just be me. hehe

A friend of mine up in the Welsh valleys has a business that does water transfer. He does all sorts and small bits work quite well. I think you can send stuff to him do be done.
