Repairing a buckled wheel
Discussion
So I seem to have managed to buckle one of my front wheels. I was starting to get a bit of vibration through the steering at higher motorway speeds so took it in to get the wheels balanced this morning.
I have been informed that one of the wheels is buckled as it was bouncing up and down on the balancing machine. Does anyone know if it is possible to get this repaired and if so where?, or is it scrap?
Thanks Jim

I think Jim is on Vreds. RF's are a risk in themselves.I have been informed that one of the wheels is buckled as it was bouncing up and down on the balancing machine. Does anyone know if it is possible to get this repaired and if so where?, or is it scrap?

Yeah eddies right, I got rid of the run flats for this exact reason. I put vred's on which have been great. The wheels on mine are BMW 313's which have a reputation for these sort if issues.
I will go see vern and see what he says as he is only a minute away from where I live. If no good I can't be arsed with spending £550 on a new replacement and then having it colour coded in grey etc only for it to happen again.
Time for some nice BBS or HRE's I think??!!

Well I have done the only manly thing there was to do, bought a whole new set of wheels!! Arriving monday! Thanks for the advice chaps. Didnt fancy all the hassle of getting it sorted or replaced and re coloured etc for it to happen again. The new wheels should be a fair bit more durable and I have wanted them for years!!
