Hi, I've tried to google but give up and turn to the PH masses for help.

I start commuting to London next week, need to sort out season ticket for parking. I've done it in the past and used to stay in the carpark off Vastern road roundabout. I 'think' I used to buy my season tickets from the little booth at the top floor of the lifts, iirc.

Is this still the case as I can't find anything on line either under reading station, FWG or APCOA websites.

Can someone let me know what the story is as I'm sure there must be a few on here doing the same trip?

Costs? I think it used to work out to about £7 a day with a season ticket, no doubt that's gone up - a lot?

Cheers for any info. Thanks.

The NCP Garrard Street do discounts from memory. They were about £75 a month but they they may be for local business only.

Isn't there one between Napier Road and the railway line? Mrs Puggit used to use one on the left just before the NCP on Garrard St.

Vastern Road is still there, but is hideously expensive in comparison to the other two.

Yep, cheers, I also got to that one earlier but it doesn't have any indication of season ticket prices. I remember from doing it 5 years ago that the season ticket prices were massively cheaper than any kind of turn up and pay rates.

Look like I'll need to take a trip in to the station on Saturday and hope someone's there as I'm sure the booth is only manned during normal hours.

This page suggests:

Charges:£23.70 daily, £118.50 weekly, £215.00 monthly, £565.50 three-monthly, £1,805.50 annually

ETA I can take a quick look tonight if you want. Not out of my way.

ETFA Well I went anyway smile

Prices for the Vastern Road APCOA multi-storey

Season Ticket Price Rail Season Ticket Holder Non Season Ticket Holder
Weekly 75.00 138.50
Monthly 215.00 423.00
Quarterly 565.50 1043.00
6 Monthly 1020.50 1976.50
Annual 1805.50 3805.00

There is no indication that your rail season ticket has to match your car parking season ticket, but I bet they do.

How about,
1) parking in a non restricted road a bit further out and bussing it in or

2) going to a park and ride, Loddon Bridge, MadStad?

Bus return is £3.40 or £14.00 for a 7 day pass
