Non sunroof 996 turbo - how rare?
Discussion
Will be in the market for a 996 turbo in a few months so have been looking through the classifieds of late, however, every one seems to have a sunroof. Id really prefer one without a sunroof because the idea of a 911 with a sunroof just doesn't seem right to me. For the price range im going to be in id probably be looking at an early example but does anyone know if 996 turbos were made without sunroofs?

yes been through my documentation was registered on 06 09 2001 in the UK
Registered in the UK doesn't mean it is a UK spec carcford14 said:
Can't find c16 anywhere but put vin into Porsche Pet and info that came up was under MI numbers MO61 version for Great Britain!
It should look a bit like this...(You can see C16 just under L9ZU)

(Not mine BTW - just a random googled pic)

First place I looked but whats left of it is virtually illedgible, PET says "MO61 Version for the UK" doesn''t that mean its a UK car? Is there somewhere else i can find C16, I've looked in the handbook and maintenance book?
The service record book should have an identical label stuck on the inside front cover. No it hasn't I've looked but i suppose I could ask the dealer but nothing points to it being imported, I've had it five years and i have all the docs from past owners back to 2001 when it was registered, a bit of a mystery but never thought about it till this thread, might do some more digging!!

Replacement service book then.I found out via Peter Morgan inspection specialists that all "C16" UK specification cars came equipped with a factory sunroof as standard equipment.
