Car transporter Saturday?

Not convinced I want to drive the C63 back from Northampton in the sleet and st on Saturday. Anyone got a car transporter or wagon and trailer that fancies earning a couple of quid for thier trouble?

Ps. Our trailer won't be big enough I'm afraid. I think it was Issomo (is that his name?!) that has one.

Eddie surely it's safer to be driving the car than towing it if the conditions aren't the best?

It's not the slipping and sliding issue I'm concerned about. I just don't fancy stonechipping the car to death by driving south on heavily gritted roads.

Unless it's a covered transporter/trailer you're likely to cause more damage to it.

But yeah, you'll get a lot of grit coming up from the rear wheels of the tow vehicle I'd have thought, so still likely to get plastered unless you get an enclosed trailer/car cover/vehicle transporter.

Ed - Speak to Steve/Richard at Southways Automotive 01329 220755. They have a covered tri-axle covered trailer.

Another option is to tape up the front with the blue 3m tape to stop chips etc, i used to do it when i took my old car to shows to stop chips/flies etc. Its what they seem to do on the MP4's that i see being driven around on trade plates.

Be cheaper than a trailer and wont damage the paint.



Get a 2 or 3 rolls should be fine to do front/mirrors/leading edges of rear arches

Might do that to my Zed for Friday! Need to get my Zed back from the wheel specialist and it's just had the front end painted

Was looking more for a proper car transporter / recovery type vehicle. I can hire one from Abacus for £80 plus fuel which isn't too bad.
