Hi Chaps,

Quick question for you - I am missing the clip that retains the bonnet stay in place - does anybody know where replacements can be obtained ?

I also recall that some of you have replaced the stay with gas struts so would be interested to hear or see you alternate solutions.

Thanks !

Stuart

Something like this was TVR's way I think?........ clicky

Think I've got a couple in the garage somewhere, can pop in post if you drop me your address.

Or try this, I like it, stay doesn't "fall out" like it can with those clips.

It is screwed to the bodywork with two thin self tappers. there are two holes in the "front" of the piece of pipe to get a screwdriver onto them but these holes close up and become all but invisible.

Used a small P clip attached to the bulkhead, when i made the new stay i drilled a hole in the end and put an R clip through it, when it is holding the bonnet up the R clip can go in again to stop the stay coming out of the hole
