I'm thinking of getting my injectors cleaned on my MK1 Focus RS.. Its now 10 years old with 50k on the clock now, and gets driven properly...

Seems to cost around £20 per injector from what I've read on the net..

Has anyone else done this, did you notice much of a difference in the smoothness of power delivery and did you notice any difference in economy ?

Noticeable difference on my 924, but the injectors were really, really fked before I had them cleaned. It couldn't run below a certain amount of revs because the injectors were so dirty that the "spray" became a "stream" at lower flow rates. Ultrasonic cleaning fixed that.

Huge difference on my boat, but then the bottom injector was full of water smile

I use Injector Tune in Devizes. He advertises on eBay. Quick service and replaces all the parts - filter and o-rings etc.

Never had a proper job done but I have used Fuel additive from Halfords, worked a treat. Bought the best they had (about 15 pounds).

When you say 'worked a treat' what did it do ?

It got the car through the MoT! And made it run smoother.
I'd been checking the plugs as a guide to the condition of everything else, they were a bit sooty before I used the cleaner, and after 1000 miles they were very clean.
