Seeing as the TV series has a good following on P.H, I thought there may be a few players on here. Quick rundown for those who do't know about it.

The closest thing it has to a genre is the good old point and click adventure, but it has a great emphasis on dialogue choice and character. Think about it as more of an interactive comic strip and you won't go far wrong. Anyway, it's a fantastic game and has been garnering a lot of critical acclaim and awards now the 5 episode series has come to an end.

I've finished the 3rd episode and have read that the 4th and 5th are in a different league to pretty much anything else out there in terms of character, story and drama. If they are indeed better than the first 3 episodes then I can see why people are raving so much.

Anyone else tried these out?

I've completed all 5.

Its not perfect, and as a point and click its certainly no Monkey Island 2.

However it is first class at drawing you in and creating an emotional connection.

My personal favorite episodes were the first 3, but the story moves towards an emotional climax dictated by your choices. It remains unpredictable and shocking throughout.

I wont spoil it for anyone by saying anymore.

Really not my sort of game normally but I thought I'd give the demo a go and it had me hooked, as a result I purchased and played through all the episodes! Must give the game another run through again to change my choices and save some characters who I liked! The characters felt real and I felt some sadness when like the TV show certain characters meet there end. Would also fully recommend it and I can only hope Telltale produce a similar game soon!

Really looking forward to the last two episodes, will get them downloaded tonight I reckon and finish it off. After all I've read I'm looking forward to seeing if it's as powerful as people are making out! Some shocking moments so far thats for sure.

Not too popular here obviously! I've played all five episodes now and can thoroughly recommend the series. The ending is incredibly powerful, and on the whole the story, characters, emotioanl resonance etc etc are so far ahead of the industry in general it's shocking. I'd rate it higher than the tv series, which I love.

Roll on series 2!

Played 1 to 4 , not going to bother with 5. Is it even a game? Your actions have no real impact on outcomes and death is just a do over.

Really, I don't care how many people come to look for he kid win me, ok, I pissed som guys off and they don't wan to help, but I look for the kid just the same.....it's pointless.

Fair enough. It's not a game in the traditional sense, no. More of an interactive drama or something like that.

For anyone who laments the relative lack of maturity in gaming compared to other meida (and there are a lot), this series is a watershed moment.

It's brilliant - there is an "illusion" of choice for alot of it, as many of the actions they try to imply are important make jaff all difference.

However, it's brilliantly written, genuinely emotional at points and downright nasty at others (I was literally twisting in my seat at one point in Episode 5!!). I like the timer for decisions too, so you go with your gut for alot of it as you don't have time to really think things through.

It'll never be massively popular - it's too slow paced and lacking action to be otherwise; but I think the Metacritic score of 95 tells you that it's something that really needs to be appreciated, and it's nice that there are companies out there making out something different from the endless CoD clones and getting rewarded for it.

Meh, fundamentally, its a game of stastistics. At the end you get a % figure for your choices, such as "you chose to give water to Ken, 68% of people gave water to Ken". Giving water to Ken (or not) has no bearing on the outcome or direction of the game.

Also, its not really intuative. I got stuck in the school in ep4, because the screen layout didnt show a corridor. I must have spent over an hour just trying to work out where a bloody door was.

The end of ep4 was really disapointing, hence not playing 5.

Ive played the first 2 and really enjoyed the first. Was something different and a much needed change but the second left me a bit cold. The story is good but as already mentioned its not really a game. No matter what you choose to do the story will play out the same more or less. The theres the quick time events. I died a couple of times simply because I didnt know what I was suppose to be doing which completelty took me away from the story.

Ill probably wait until they come on sale at some point before buying the rest.

Loving the TV series and loving zombie games I bought it and played the first series.

It was rubbish. The illusion of choice got on my nerves - if you're going to create a largely narrative game then at the very least my choices should mean something. The story telling should have made up for it but having to do pointless tasks and make pointless choices rather than being able to settle back and enjoy the story just got on my nerves and made it a bit disjointed.

I think I'll settle for waiting for the new season to come out in a couple of weeks on TV, I can't see myself going back and playing any more of the game.

Utterly brilliant "game", whilst not fast paced, the storyline and emotional draw-in is just brilliant.

I really loved this game. The console versions performed surprisingly st for what they were, but the story and characters were fantastic. I haven't played 400 days yet.

Utterly engrossing game/comic strip/storyboard, or whatever you want to call it!
Had "grit" in my eyes on several occaisions(that just might be down to the fact that since Ive had kids of my own, any story regarding children has me)
Done the 400 days and can't wait till the winter for the next series.
