Check the chain sizes before you go - there's not a huge selection.

How do you know which chains to go for - the Lidl website says "Choose from size 70, 80, 90 or 100" with no way of telling what tyre sizes they fit.

By the way, I have the Lidl battery charger.

It does a grand job of keeping my Z4 battery and a couple of spare batteries I have in the garage topped up. It also charged up my girlfriend's Civic battery from near flat without issue.

I have it mounted to the leg of my workbench so it's right next to the bumper of the Z4. I'm really pleased with it.

Another +1 for the charger.

Bought one for the MX-5 a couple of years ago as it has a gel battery and a normal charger won't do.

As well as being significantly cheaper, it also has a much better charge rate than the usually recommended Optimate.

Well for less than £20, i got a charger, enough components to make a Chile con Carne, and six fat balls to feed the birds in the garden.......

I saved £19 on the snow chains (which do look a bit flimsy).... by spending £900 on a Jeep before Xmas, excellent man maths.

They had loads of chargers in stock in my local Lidl at lunchtime today.

I popped into two Lidl's Tuesday looking for a charger as the battery is flat on the VX220, but no luck. Might have to try again tonight in the hope that they have restocked now the deal is on.

yes, thats the way Lidl and Aldi work - if somethings in a deal - its put out ready for Thursday or Sunday opening - so you might be able to get them towards closing time the day before.

decent little charger, but struggles to charge batteries left for any period of time in my experience.

Cheers, I did wonder if that was how they operated. I popped in on the way home last night and picked one up.

The snow chains definitely worked - I needed them to get out of and into my road today. They are designed to cover the in-between sizes according to the box; My tyres supposedly need a 95 but the 100s that said they would fit did the job just fine.
