Hi

I am in the middle of a project to turn a 280i FHC auto with PAS into a car with hand controls so I have a TVR I can drive till my legs get stronger enough for me to use a normal geared car!

I am in urgent need of these parts!

A set of front springs new or good used. (One on the car is broken)
A new servo or good used one! (One on the car is very rusty)
A set of new front and rear shocks pref original.

I normal find most things like this on good old f-bay, but haven't found any yet!

Danny

The only springs at present are racing spring from RT and I haven't seen a correct Servo for a wedge on any auction site. If you can tell me were they are I would apprecaite it!

Hi Mark

Sorry mate neither of them!

As I said there are 240 pages on f-bay on TVR parts let alone the Ford parts on there page and I have gone through them!
I have found most of the bits for resto from f-bay in the past!
The amount of real parts on there at present is poor compared to normal.
I have RT and David Geralds/TVR car parts to look at next!

My understanding is that brake servo is also Cortina IV/V, to match the master cyl... Don't know if other Fords would work...perhaps Escort, but not sure.

Is servo holed ? I have restored one or two (in kit cars) in the past simply with a lot of wire brushing and a coat of Hammerite.....

Hi Danny

Thanks for that link. Thats one area of f-bay I had not looked at, I would have though they would have linked it to TVR parts in F-bay

I've found this site for my link bushes. Not contacted them yet but the are showing springs for £80 and a full set of GAZ shocks for £325. I'm looking for front shocks as well but can't find any standard ones at the minute. I'll let you know if I do.

I dealt with Neil Perry of ML PERFORMANCE PARTS when Neil worked for TVR Car Parts, he was able to sort a new servo & master cylinder for the SX and a few other parts that were needed, he's nice guy and i'm sure will be able to help...

Yep I've just got off the phone with him. Very helpful and all my kit will be ready next week with a bit of luck.

Very expensive IMO when you could fit a servo and m/c from another car that will do the job.

I have a set of frontsprings and Koni shocks left over from the coilover conversion i did on my 1985 USA spec 280i. they are in good condition. I also have a set of the front lower wishbones if needed.
PM me if you are interrested.
