Why, do you think we should go international and claim Country status?

I think that if we split, it would create a trade deficit with the rest of the forum, and we won't have the Pistonheads free trade alliance™

Aye, until President Alex. is Premier of the People's Republic of Caledonia at which point we could perhaps approach the Mods for a change of status..........

Yes smile

Do you mean we might be split into smaller areas?

Or we should be "international"?

Call it whatever. It's irrelevant. What matters is that there's actually some activity in this part of the forum and runs and meets being organised.

Split the forum into Counties and you'll be back to 1 post a month and >90% of new threads having a total of 1 post in them.

It's all fine. Just go outside and polish the car. If the weather's not good enough for that, decide what to buy next instead.

No, of course not - I hate being lumped in with all the Weegies, sheep chasers and dirty Fifers.

At least separate Edinburgh out, it's the least they could do.

(Some, or all of this post may not be true, but purely for sts & giggles)

We already have [Edinthing]s, though we do welcome those from the Lothians and beyond, even as far as L'Occident sans savon... biggrin

I can kinda sympathise. I used to help out with a few clubs and the ignorance of the southern based big wigs was appalling. You'd have South West Anglia Region, East London, The tiny bit in the corner of Bedfordshire Region and then SCOTLAND... we'd then get snotty emails saying there's no interest in X, Y or Z club supporting X, Y or Z Scottish event as there's nobody up here. Really? Ok.

I remember once posting up on a forum about a rolling road event we had in Dalgety Bay. There was much hillarity after it was written that several chaps drove 200 miles+ to be there and one chap left the night before and was on an overnight ferry. When it was finally accepted that no, this is actually the case... it made those based in Woking or Snorting on Thames look a bit psih when they complained about driving 7 miles to a show.

But yes, Scotland Region... oh really? But I've learned to smile and go "Aye, whatever boys... you worry about you, we'll worry about us" and get on with it.

Then launch bi-annual, 50 strong invasions to Northampton armed with many crates of Tennents jsut to keep them on their toes.
