Saxo 1.1 first car!

Hi guys,
So this is my first car!
I have had projects in the past but this is the first road legal car ive owned!
Its not in the best shape and may not be perfect but i love it!
Also looking to change now though as although i love it, its boring!
Anyway pictures!!
The night i got it home after i passed my test the same day

Anyway as i said its not the perfect car and not as good as some peoples first cars but its mine,
I cant wait to get something different, i have the itch to change.
Let me know what you think, Only plans are either a change or to keep this until ive got more money and make a track beast on the drive!

Edited to add- Car was 350 with 10 months mot, 5 months tax and insurance was only 1600 a year F.C

Not bad for a first car - I would keep it for now and build up some ncb before changing to something else. It would be easier just to get a cheap VTS if you are after a track car.

I would keep it, trouble is where i learned to drive in a 1.6 diesel and have driven other things since passing, its getting to feel a bit boring, plus I have a nagging feeling something expensive is going to break, The plan about a track car was doing something useful rather than selling, The options were either this or swap for my girlfriends dads peugeot 206 but that is only a 1.1 also.
Good little car though and i feel a bargain for what i paid, Just before i picked it up it had the cambelt changed, full new exhaust, tyres, brakes and clutch, Paid 350 for it, It had only done 50,000 miles when i picked it up!

For £350 that car owes you nothing!

Good to see that you haven't spent all your money on fiberglass and fake carbonfibre too, which is what most young drivers with Saxo's appear to do!

If you're wanting to upgrade, what is your insurance likely to be on something else? And how much money can you afford to spend?

This is true! its done 2500 miles with me faultlessly, I checked insurance just before i bought it as the bloke i bought it off wasnt sure of the engine size, just knew it was petrol!
A vtr comes up at around 300 quid a year more,
I dont have any intention to barry it up!
Ive seen plenty around trying to limp over speedbumps and just laugh because i can get over them without stopping for a picnic.
Im waiting to hear back about a new job and if i get this would probably be best off getting a diesel,
This wont happen though!
