Hi,

Got a 10 month old and twins on the way.

By Summer, I'll have 3 kids under 2 years of age. This is great news, but has caused problems for my C Class.

A Range Rover Evoque has been suggested to me as suitable.

Is there space for 3 child seats across the back of a Range Rover Evoque, or am I better off with something like a VW Sharan?

Appreciate all feedback.

Regards

James

You won't get he buggies in the boot, nor 3 kids across the back. Disco 4 is the better , although not so sexy option.

Avoid the RR ChavJoque. A Disco is spot on for your needs.

Go and test drive a few

as above. Friend of mine is in same position as you, and he found only 2 cars which could take 3 child seats across the back.... the Disco 3/4 and the S-Max. easy choice smile

Too small.

And I sell them.

Evoques - not twins.

Evoques are brilliant cars but will be too small for your needs.

Disco 4 is what you need. Brilliant family car.

However, if you still have a hankering after an Evoque, there's nothing stopping you from getting a big car to run the family around in and then something smaller for yourself... wink

Evoque is such a small car, and very much inline with Japanese cars IMO. Def not worth your money.

Very chav, as their ambassador VB.

Get yourself a proper family car: defender, range rover or even Disco

Just out of interest, has anyone ever borne witness to the legendary petrol Evoque?

According to the official website, there is a 240bhp petrol version called the Si4.

Of 53 on the PH Classified page, none are petrol.

Shame really, if I had one I'd rather have one of these than one with a Transit engine tbh.

So it's not just a myth!

My reason for asking is my OH has randomly decided she wants one one day (despite sitting in the pub with an AA man last night who said "for the love of god, no, I've already trailered loads of them!").

For some reason this poky petrol one appeals.

Went to a launch event 18months ago and wanted to drive the Si4. Lovely car and we were all set onpetrol, we came very close to ordering one a few months back, but the reality was it was too small for us. The discussions at the time with our dealer, was that they could not guarantee any sort of delivery of a petrol car, as all engines were bound for overseas markets. They had a pool of customers who had their orders in for the Si4, but had no idea if/when they would be getting one.

Get your facts right...

The 2.2 diesel donk in the Freelander & Evoque is a completely different engine to the one in the Transit & Defender.

Probably going to China. I sell a lot of Evoques to Chinese students in the USA. 90% of them want white.

And all with petrol engines. wink
