Basically I need to be at work in Newport at 5:30 in the morning as I'm a shop key holder. I live 20 miles away mostly motorway/A roads.

It's saying it's going to start snowing heavy in the early hours.

My Alfa is still broken (how could that be!). So my only means of transport is my bike engined 7!

It has a LSD, almost new toyo T1R's(195/55/15). And full tank of fuel.

Do we think I will have enough traction to get up the odd steepish hill? If I'm careful. (big hill going through Chepstow will be the worst)

Or will I just spin sideways?

What do we think? If it does come down heavy am I dooooomed?

Used mine in the snow- it was at least as good as my little 2001 Clio at the time. Only 100bhp and Avon CR322 tyres though. Stuck? Get out and push! Only time I had to do that was to get it up the driveway though.
I'd suggest a slightly thicker T-shirt than usual and ideally long trousers rather than shorts.

Leave just now, camp outside work in car with sleeping bag.

Or even use the key to stay at work.

Job done.

If it will set off on light throttle it may be OK, if you have to give it 10,000 rpm before it will move you could be in trouble!

Did he leave or was it forced? Been a lurker for years but only just noticed he hasn't been on here recently!

Does anyone know if CW7 defected to the other place yet?

I think with the tyres you have OP, and the lack of weight, it might be difficult. The bike engine's lack of low down torque might help though.

I tried my busa engined westfield once - only light snow and it was completely hopeless - just no weight to give the wheels any traction whatsoever...if the roads aren't cleared well you're doomed.....

...so make sure the gopro is charged, there's a good chap!

Got caught in snow at a Goodwood Breakfast meeting with a 50 mile drive home. 6 speed Supersport on AO21s and a LSD. No really steep hills luckily; it was a bit twitchy at times but otherwise OK. The funny bit was sitting at traffic lights with snow swirling round the interior. (only a half hood).

This is how I found my car when I came back from grabbing a bacon butty; and this was undercover in the paddock!
