Gents,

I'm in my second year of marshalling.
I'd like to marshall at some of the Tuscan Challenge events/make myself useful.

I asked the BARC at the Autosport Show how could I get involved. From the reply, it would appear that I need to contact the circuit officials as the series is not run through BARC? Can anyone advise? I got a list of events from the BARC a few weeks ago so that I could confirm my availability, which I have done for a couple of dates, but it is not clear from this list as to what race series are included on the dates at a particular track.

Is there a list of dates for the Tuscan series yet, and does this list note the circuits? (Guess it would have to!)
Cheers, Nick.

The list of dates are available on the brscc site and also the http://www.tvrchampionship.co.uk/calendar/

page. If you do make it let us know, Hopefully we'll not meet you in a professionally capacity, just in the paddock !!!

The Tuscan series is run by BRSCC not BARC, so you're talking to the wrong organising club!

You need to apply to marshal at the right BRSCC meetings

Thanks for all your replies.

I guess I need to contact BRCC now to see if I can marshall at any of these events.
Bit of a newbie to this marshalling stuff.

Thanks again, Nick

Get in touch with Grumps (aka Mal Gwynne)on info(at)tvrchampionship.co.uk who does the PR for the DTEC series as he's a marshal too and may be able to give you some more advice. biggrin

Nick,

Being that you're in Hampshire, you'll probably want the Silverstone round on the 11th/12th of May on the national circuit. You'll need to contact either Penny Norris of Silverstone for incident or Roy Salsbury of BRSCC Midland for anything else! smile

ETA: Calendar: http://www.tvrchampionship.co.uk/calendar/

ETA2: I'm really bad at reading threads hehe

Gents/Ladies (?)

I've now had confirmation from Penny at Silverstone that I will be able to marshall.

What is the general consensus for accommodation? Is it B&B or camping or doss in the back of the van?
I'd like to be in the melee as it were :-).

A few of us stay at the circuit in racetrucks/motorhomes/vans - Chanty, Hui, Jamie Golby, me and Geoff P for example. The rest use local B&Bs, though my guess is that this year there will be a few new faces staying over at the circuit!

You could also kip in one of the pit garages to keep the cost down. No problem with you kipping in mine. Can't get much closer to the paddock banter than that. (assuming we have garages though, we did last year)

Dave...etc.
Thanks for replies.

OK, Think I might wait to see what the weather does.
I'm reasonably fit, but at 62, I might go for a comfy bed!!

I'm thinking of getting up to the track Friday late afternoon..Sort of having a bit of a recce. I've got a Mk1 Tuscan red glow. Will anyone else be around at this time?
