The new map module in Lightroom is a neat addition! Played about with the map module functionality using GPS data in iPhone 4s pics and decided to go for a receiver for my D300s/D700s.

Arrived today and had a play - what a great bit of Kit! £49.50 from eBay / uk.delivery2010. They list the Youngno version at the moment and I originally ordered one from them but it's now obsolete so they offered the JYC one instead. I'm sure if you contact direct all will be well.

I like to geotag my shots, it helps if you find a location with potential, take a snap to remind you and have the exact location for future.

I use an AMOD GPS logger on my bag, works well, and HoudahGeo but could fancy the Canon logger if it wasn't £300

I use phone app named gps4cam. It tracks your progress and then at the end of the shoot it generates a 2d barcode which you also photograph. When you offload the pics you feed it through a bit of PC software which recognises the photo with the barcode in it and uses the data from that to geotag the RAW and JPGs from the camera. It was inexpensive and it's very effective (and clever).

Yep, mine is for travel photo tracking. Had the iPhone on Mt Etna a few months ago on a guided walk on the slopes. Interesting to compare the photos with sat nav imagery.

I shot straight away with the new GPS earlier today to see how long it would take to acquire. The first three pics had the location of the factory in Shenzhen China where it was presumably last powered up.
