Winter wheels/tyres for C250 and C63

Just discovered how hopeless my C250 CDI is in the snow so now very interested in a set of winter wheels and tyres. Easy right? Complication is I'm changing to a C63 AMG in May. I don't want to go and buy another set for this. Id's there a wheel size I could buy which fits both cars? I imagine brake clearance on the C63 is tight. Thanks!
I am guessing from your profile you are on the same car scheme as me so that means you will be swapping the C63 after a year so is it really worth getting winter tyres for the odd day we have snow?? I have had mine a week now so drove in a bit of snow earlier in the week and it was fine..Did not attempt to go out in it today though.. From reading other forums from countries where they have snow alot the general rule is don't do it...

I asked for black or white but they did not have any..They offered me silver cant remember what the name of it is but it is the lighter one and I am glad I got silver now..Looks amazing but I think they do in any colour :-)
You are going to love it....The noise the power is amazing...Even though you are supposed to run the engine in 4500 revs is enough to get the noise.. I have not had much chance to drive it other than the commute to work and then the snow came..

OK done a bit of research. The following are taken from the US 2012 C Coupe Owners' Manual at this page http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/service_and_parts/ow...
To me, the best overall option would be to get four 8.0x18 ET45 5x112 wheels and fit them with 225/40R18 winter tyres. Having the same all round should help with cost and the narrower rear tyres should be a little better in the snow. The 45mm offset should be OK on the C250 as it will give slightly more inner clearance then necessary.
Anyway, after all that it's probably not worth it this year. I did have some more experience with the C250 in the snow after my first disaster and found it to be slightly more manageable than I initially thought. Hopefully this info will help!
