anyway to identify?

Is there any chance of telling what model this is? (the car not the loco)...

I reckon its a Zephyr Mk3 (not a consul or zodiac)

Mk 3 Zephyr four I'm thinking

Could be either a Zephyr 4 or a 6 - the front grilles were different and the 6 has the bigger grille with the centre divider. Zodiacs had the four headlight front end and the extra window where the Zephyr C pillar is.
Fine looking vehicle!

the Zodiacs had a shiny ally panel behind the rear number plate, full width i think

Its on the A5/Watling street I think, just outside Atherstone where coal was shunted to canal barges

It's the A5, just west of the Atherstone bypass. The building & canal basin are still there.

Here's a picture of my dad's brand new Zephyr 4 in 1964, with some of my aunties (now no longer with us) posing in front of it, prior to a trip to Blackpool..

It is a Garret, fascinating photo, I has totally unaware we had any Garrets on Industrial lines in the UK.

And with a bit more internet sleuthing that very locomotive is preserved at Bressingham. Don't know about the Ford though...

Im told the loco is the "William Francis"?

Great photo - Women just looked so much more elegant then. Back in 1964, nobody knew what a BMW or an Audi was and a humble Ford was something to be polished and admired. Well, until the new one came out!

My late Granfather had an early Zodiac Mark 111 in gold, probably around 1967-8 ish. Somewhere there is a photo of it parked up in the muddy back street behind their terraced house in Warrington.
