Nippy out in the shed tonight.
Discussion
My garage is full of restoration project right now and have another classic runner on the ramps outside. I've just been out putting a petrol tank into the car on the ramps having cleared the snow first. My neighbour saw me and she said " you could have picked a better day for it". My response was "no, us classic car owners enjoy the suffering, I've got a hair shirt on underneath just to add to the discomfort"
I'm dressed up in thermals and it's really quite comfortable. I've done the tank, now I'm taking the rear calipers off as they are seized and need new dust covers/seals.
It really helps when you've got decent tools though. I'd hate to be doing stuff like this without a ramp.
Just hope the snow stays away.

You know when you just pop out to check something...?
This...have lost count the number of times I've said 'just nipping to the garage, dear...' and find hours have slipped by with much pleasurable tinkering. Really, I think our garages and sheds [I have more than one] have some sort of time machine mechanism built into them. How? Haven't a clue.Any other PH'ers have the same mysterious in-shed time lapse phenomenon?

I wish time would stand still in mine. I'll never get it all finished.

Nip into Milletts/Go Outdoors and buy a set of thermal underwear; seriously. I swear by mine, use them all the time during the winter months, fit under the typical old clothes garage wear + overalls...all very comfy. Also, invest in some good thick walking socks to wear under boots, throw on an old fleece and then overalls on top and you'll be toastie
