Miniature Wonderland Hamburg
Discussion
Certainly have. Went this summer and spent a few hours there. I reckon you could spend an entire week in there and still not see every last little detail that they've hidden amongst everything. Definately recommended if you're in the area. In fact, we planned our roadtrip around starting in Hamburg specifically for this.

If anyone wants to visit Hamburg, I would be happy to share some ideas what to do from a local's perspective.
We were there on New Year's Eve (Harbour area). It was an incredible experience to be among so many thousands of people, all letting off their own fireworks with little or no apparent official controls on health and safety! If it was Britain, the NHS would have collapsed under the weight of A&E demand, but AFAIK there are hardly ever any injuries at these events in Germany?

I think it shows we're more of a liability with dangerous things, than health and safety regulations being out of control. If it was Britain, the NHS would have collapsed under the weight of A&E demand, but AFAIK there are hardly ever any injuries at these events in Germany?
In regards to the miniature wonderland, i will have to make that road trip to europe this year, just to waste it all in there.

Yes, several times!
As I always say when this gets posted - if you're in Hamburg, don't miss the Maritime Museum or the Prototyp racing car museum, both of which are fantasic in their own way, and are within 15 minutes walk of the model railway.
