996.2 -- 997 Cab?

Not wishing to troll, but...
I had a 996.2 for a year and kind of got a bit bored of it. It was pretty much perfect for us (wife and 3 year old boy) but it just became a bit normal, perhaps I was driving it too often. Anyway, as it was pretty much a perfect "family" car, I was wondering if I might find a 997 Cab a bit more exciting? I love open top driving so wondered if having the roof down would give me a bit more drama? I realise the cab seats are a bit more upright, but has anyone had a car seat in them with a wife in front? The 996 was a bit tight, but fine for journeys of around an hour.
Has anyone gone from 996 coupe to a 997 cab? Is it significantly more exciting?
