Heater not working

Twiddled the appropriate knob (ooh er) but no hot air. Air con still seems to work. Any ideas?

Been there!

Press the brass knob-it clicks and comes on-press and it turns off. Same for both fan and aircon.

Would also suggest checking the following:

1. Do the lights on the fan speed control work? If yes, go to (3). If no, press the dial-button-thing to turn it on.
2. If there are still no lights, guess it's broken. Fuses, maybe? [END]
3. Does the temperature dial affect the heat of the (lack of) air coming out of the vents? If yes, go to (5)
4. Check fuses again? Guess it's broken. [shrugs] [END]
5. This is where I'm currently at... you can alter the temperature, but the blower doesn't work. Go down into the passengers foot well, and dig out the control box for it. Open it to find that one of the pins is running hot and melting the plastic around it. Clean it out. Find it's all working again. 2 days later problem crops up again. Repeat process several times. Give up and phone someone like TVR Power that have a mod for it to fix it properly, and book your car in.

Another variant I guess. Plenty of fan action, but air blows cold no matter what the temperature dial is set to. Seems to blow colder with air-con on, and I can hear the compressor engage. Any idea just what the temp dial actually connects to and does? (or is supposed to do)

I'm serious !!!

50% of the time my fan doesn't work till I turn the wipers on and off.
