A shop near me has a sale on including some Traxxas RC cars? I've always fancied another RC car (used to have some when I was younger) but I'm unsure whether Traxxas are any good. I used to have HPI and Tamiya years ago.

Does anyone have any experience of Traxxas - good or bad they could share with me?

Thanks

Yes, Good. biggrin

Simple and tough. They are not the fastest/lightest out there - instead aimed at taking a thrashing and doing silly jumps. I have yet to see one that's pretty though (maybe the Revo chassis).

There are some one make races out there using them, though I believe this is mostly in the USA.

That said, I haven't touched anything RC for about 2 years so I'm not up to date.

Oh yes.... I've just got in from taking my 1/10 Stampede 4x4 VXL out of a few months hibernation and sliding around in a few inches of snow!

Great fun, bulletproof and plenty of parts to upgrade with. If I wanted another brushless model I'd look at either of the E-Maxx or E-Revo.

basic cars aimed at beginners, they are tough if you keep the stock electrics, but some need upgrading out of the box, and end up costing a pretty packet.

if you get a good discount off of the RRP then it will be worth it.
