Evening all,

As part of a little pet project between me and some mates, we want to make some alternative badges for the back of a Land Rover Discovery 2. They will be to replace the "TD5" badges but be of the same font and size so they look factory fitted.

Problem is, I cant find a font that accurately replicates the TD5 logo:

Anyone got any ideas?

thanks,
Matt

its most probably not a font, just something landrover had designed

carefully peel the old ones off, trace around them and then scan them into your PC

As above, probably not a font as such.

Based on something obviously but I'd imagine it's been skewed and had a bit of horizontal scale added. The '5' will have been modified to match the angle of the 'd'.

What text are you trying to create?

Thanks for the idea. Unfortunately the new badges are going to say "Storm" (development codename for the TD5) so I need the rest of the letters!

Some more googling has just thrown up this logo for a defunct website:

Shirely its not just the IMPACT with italic applied?

That's not impact, looks like Helvetica Black oblique/italics to me.

Also, if you look at the original, the 5 is not italic.
