Hey every1 im new to this site, please could someone help or advise?!
For the past 2/3 years when its really cold weather my car when started (not always) appears like its going to cut out but doesnt so naturally i pump the accelerator but theres no power and i have to wait until its finished and then my cars ok, my engine management light pops on every so often but all it says is 'running too rich'.
I really want to get this sorted

Sounds like its overfueling on cold starts. Will be related to the auto choke somewhere. Does your temp gauge work?

Most likely a sensor IMO- Air Flow, coolant temp or Lambda. A diagnostic computer will probably tell you exactly what it is

Yes the temp gauge is fine, all the car is fine apart from that little hiccup, and because it doesnt occur all the time typically, when i take it to the garage "its fine" last week for instance, it was freezing my car had been stood from around 4.30pm until 6.30am the nxt day it was ok yet the same day i parked at work for 9hrs and it did it. frown

I would say either a broken maf or you have a boost leak.

Maf sensors do go and are an easy fix. Check perished hoses may cause running problems. Thermistat may be dodgy. All this happened to mine.
