I've just ordered a Panasonic DMRE85HEBS and need one of those cables that allow prerecorded videos to be burned onto DVD. Anyone know where such a cable can be sourced?

That's a DVD and HD recorder? So all you need, I think, is a SCART cable to connect your VHS player as a source. A bit of poking about in menus for line input etc should do the trick, I'd have thought. The you hit Play on the VHS and Record on the DVD recorder.

The DVD unit knows which videos are copyrighted. There's a special scart lead that disables the copyright coding. I understand a company called something like Techtronics make this lead but I can't find them on the net.
