Snetterton 200 - Supercharged Phoenix
Discussion
Video of a quick run round Snetterton as part of the Charity Racecar Experience in Nov. Had my 14 year old son, James, in the car so was only using 2/3 throttle. He discovered the difference between Xbox fast and real life fast. Video is in 1080p with data overlay.

Car is a Sylva Phoenix with a Omex Supercharger kit on the Blacktop Zetec. Approx 340BHP and 550-600 Kg without driver.

Cool video, that is a seriously quick car
Not heard of that "Charity Race Experience" before, just had a google and found this
Do they run these every year, and if so are they always Snetterton? Just before Christmas, I was getting a tyre fitted to my Ariel Atom and was asked if I'd give up some time to participate in a similar sounding charity event for Little Havens Hospice. I've given my details so should hopefully be taking part later in the year.
Cheers

Run every year in November at Snetterton. Was a great day out in the, unseasonal, sunshine. There are a number of these types of events around and I try and do as many as I can. The idea is a member of the public pays to go out in the car and gets 3 laps at 8/10th speed. I paid for my son (who is 14) to be able to go out with me.

If you don't mind me asking, what are the other charity track days that you do? I think it's a great thing to get involved with.Edited by jeffw on Sunday 20th January 18:04

As this wasn't an event as much as a Trackday I didn't agree to any T&Cs and I doubt MSV would look to recoup costs for video shot on a Charity event anyway. If they do then there is a large number of videos from this event on Youtube as there are for numerous other, MSA sanctioned, events.Did you read those terms & conditions for events at Snetterton?
