After wheel spinning a short distance up a hill on snow in 1st gear (nothing else worked) the dash did the following-

Speedo failed
Glow plug light flashing
Yellow steering wheel light on
Hand brake light on
ABS light on

It's a 2011 Ibiza sport, company car and under warranty so I'm not to worried just curious as to what was going on. Since getting it back and using it today all is back to normal?

Front wheels are doing silly speeds and the rears arent moving will have brought the ABS/Handbrake light on... possibly the glow plug light is to do with the management system from this? Get it checked out the codes should be saved in the ECU memory smile

If i spin the wheels on snow i always get an ABS light in my 156. Turning the engine off and on again sorts the warning light. I wouldn't be worried, but if its under warranty it cant hurt to get it checked out!

I get that on the Swift too. It went away once traction was found and id driven a few meters. I got paranoid first time it happened a few years ago and even joined the Swift Owners Club website just to see if anyone had any problems like that haha!

Same on mine. Happened on Friday. I went and checked the ABS fuse, as this had blown last year in the snow (apparently according to the previous owner).

biggrin
