Better Fettling Skills than Bamford Rose?

My son was bought a 'build your own' 4 cylinder engine kit for Christmas and tonight we've started making it.

From a complete novice regarding engines, I now feel I have amassed enough knowledge into how the internal combustion engine works so that my next project will be to offer my services ala Bamford Rose style. If anyone would like their V8 beefing up or a bit more torque from their V12 then you know where to come.

Check out the pictures as proof of my credentials. Admittedly we haven't quite finished this 4 cylinder project yet but I'm sure it won't take much longer and I am sure it will work perfectly first time. I am sure that an extra 8 cylinders also won't add too much complication to the inner workings.

I reckon with my new found knowledge I could get the 4.3 V8 to around 600bhp and the V12 I could probably get to 750 bhp - please form an orderly queue, first come, first served

I may get one and turn my V8V into a V12V overnight

And I don't imagine it'll have the same cooling challenges, so can avoid those chavvy vents...

Took us about an hour so far and about another hour I expect to complete (proper job of course & no bodging )

It's from the Haynes people (who make the workshop manuals!)
