Been meaning to put this up but quite frankly haven't been bothered. Got it on the 5th this month. Pretty chuffed with it I have to say. Been wanting one in this colour for over a year now & finally saved the pennies to get one. 55 reg with 22,000 miles to its life.

Pretty annoyed that I haven't been able to have a proper run in it yet. The day I picked it up I was just not ill enough to go to work in the morning. So after collecting it in the afternoon I drove it straight home thinking Sunday will be full of getting used to it & hooning around! But my chest & throat disagreed......for the next two weeks. And just when we get to the weekend I feel better, you just need to look out the window & guess why I don't want to risk it.

I've done a couple things so far. Had the radio stripped out by John Kleis in Reading and has a single phase face (if that's what you call them) Alpine fitted, it has a rear USB cable that they managed to run through the center console and have it pop out in the little box behind the handbrake that had the old phone cradle in it (also stripped out).

The old gear knob was completely worn to excess so replaced it with a Nismo one.

Plan on doing a few more things, first of all (completely none exciting but sensible) I need a spare key cut as the only ones the car came with was one remote & one hard key. Once I've saved a few pennies I'll be putting a Nismo catback exhaust on it.

Mainly for this reason: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGcsd047zV8

I wanna spray the alloys a very dark bronze colour. Think they look amazing. And may also fit a Nismo V1 spoiler.

Also I've seen stubby Honda radio aerials fit quite well on them so think I'll grab one of them at some point. Lose the RC looking one the car currently has.

So that's about it. I'll post picks/videos once I've made the changes that are worth seeing/hearing.

Lovely looking Zed.

I really fancied a black one too....the V2 spoiler is my fav, I've been toying with treating myself to one for ages, I like that they are rather subtle.

Have you got any pictures of your audio set up? I need to get that changed in mine too so am on the look out for ideas.

I'll take a pic of the radio tomorrow after I've given up trying to get it off the drive.

I did want to put a set Volk Rays on in the bronze colour, like this:

Then I saw the cost for a set & thought, ya know....paint's a lot cheaper.

I'm curious, please don't take this the wrong way but

22k, that's hardly used. Why was the gear knob so badly worn?

My parents have a 54 plate Zed with similar mileage, and there's not a mark on the interior

I'm on the owners site & it's a common thing to happen apparently. We've had a couple come through at work and they were both the same. There was an interior update on the 06-07 models or something where this was changed. The rest of the interior is mint.

Previous owner wore too much jewellery?

Lovely looking example! Love the 350z.

Like the plans for upgrading the exhaust too - they are way too quiet as standard and sound amazing when they are let to sing!

I used to own a 53 plate zed many years ago, and I loved it. Mine only had 30,000 on the clock when I bought it and the gear knob was badly worn. The reason was the leather wore away quickly if you wore a ring. Thankfully, a little leather hide cream brought the leather back to life.

Enjoy your new ownership.

Had loads of people saying how bad the interiors were on pre 06 models but to be honest the gear knob is the only thing that needed attention, which it got, now it's all good.

Didnt get a chance to take a pic of the radio today, seeing how I actually managed to get it off the drive and to work, both yay and boo.

Really lovely example, this. I'd be very interested to hear how you find it regarding fuel, as I've been contemplating these for some time, but my mind keeps going back to the E46 M3. I don't exactly need something new at the moment, but its a dream.

I've always had a soft spot for these though, and will be reading with genuine interest.

Very nice car. Looks like it has been very well cared for.

Hope you can have some fun once the snow has cleared!

From another 350z owner in Berkshire!

Took a couple just now as I pulled in the drive, please excuse the crudeness of the photos. Also, note the new gear knob.

This is in the center console (by the drivers elbow). The hole that the USB cord is coming through was originaly the hole the phone cradle cable was using. Wasn't one doubt in my mind that thing was going. Plus that head unit has built in parrot so no worries about bluetooth.

The hand controls on the steering wheel still work with changing the volume & track but the bluetooth button only changes the source (as in CD, radio, MP3 etc). But it's pretty good for the bluetooth, just press two buttons and it activates the voice dial thing.

I just came out of a 140 Celica that was a 1.8 and I got around 35MPG out of it. I'm currently getting 25MPG max out of this thing, it is a thirsty beast and I am feeling it. But it's soo worth it. The sound when driving is already fantastic so when the Nismo gets slapped on there I imagine the MPG will plummet slightly biggrin

That's a nice little set up, thanks very much for taking the time to take and post them.

I really like the little cubby hole it leaves, I really must get this sorted for summer.
