I thought it was brilliant. DLC was s
te though. I loved how you constantly seemed to be on a knife edge of ammo and health.
And weapon health...
te though. I loved how you constantly seemed to be on a knife edge of ammo and health. But it really, really, really fecks me off when you pick something up like booze and it replaces all your weapons in the inventory. Then instead of smacking someone with my nice electrified machete I drink........ Arrrrgghhh..
I have died so many times just minding my own business when 2-3 zombies come hurtling in at warp speed.
Driving is fun though, I just go mowing them down.......
You need the Fist of the North Star mod (sound effects not included)

Not sure how you're short on deo-bombs? I completed the game with at least 10-15 still in my inventory, similar amount of molotovs etc.
I only used the two above on enemy Thugs, (playing on Normal difficulty), I found all other enemies easy with weapons. I like the sharp weapons specialist girl, things like Katanas and Machetes don't have dispatch enemies. Throwing 5 or 6 weapons at an enemy then retrieving them is a lot of fun (good way of taking down Thugs) If one of the weapons has a shock mod on it, then you have a good chance of shocking them from a distance too, then getting close and finishing them off
Awesome game, and only £6.79 over Christmas in the Steam sale.

I am the slashing lady - I do love the electrical machetes. But my word sometimes it is just impossible to stay alive - 6/7 attackers running at you and not enough.
But also recently discovered that you can pick up gas cannisters, throw them and then it switches to gun to shoot and blow them up - now that is fun too.
I also made a Tesla Hammer on Sunday - that seemed useless.

Don't know anything about the game really, but the trailer is fantastic, in case anybody hasn't seen it.

It's a pity it turned out to be absolutely nothing like the trailer. It's an almost cartoonishly violent and dumb zombie shoot / thump / run over 'em up. It really has no substance to it at all and it has next to no story and no interesting characters. It's like watching a film trailer that makes it look like an arty moody film and it turns out to actually be Terminator 3.
Also, they offer this model bust if you buy a special edition of Dead Island Riptide
Which I think says everything you need to know about the game.

I opened this thread to post the exact same thing, never played the game but damn, what a great trailer.Yes the trailer is not similar to the game really. There are "cut scenes" in the game but yes, it is pretty much run around and kill zombies, a lot. With a variety of weapons - including ones you make - some set them on fire, some chop them up and I have one move where I stamp on the head....

Yeah the trailer got my attention so I kept an eye on it, then after reading a few reviews on release it was obvious it was a forgettable game. I just noticed the trailer has over 11 million views - I wonder how many copies of the game they sold...
