GP A Tuscan to rent (arrive and drive)
Discussion
You could try Warren at Topcats, he has the car ready to go and all the back up!
You would need to speak to him with regard to how competitive the car is right now but at least you would get full team support!
I drove the car up and down the airstrip at the workshops and the engine felt strong.

John, just buy one and share the support with me and one or two others. You know you want to
LOL.
One race car is enough in the fleet and I'm quite attached to it.
Doing more in the rebuild than planned so race free for the majority of this coming year.
I will speak with Warren I think, thanks Christian.
John - read the Mark Hales/Piper saga on this thread if you do go down this route unless of course you've already seen it!

If your borrowing a car for racing, always best to assume that once you shut the door, its your responsibility to return it exactly as it was when you shut thee door, mechanicals included.
Didn't want to borrow a car G, I wanted an arrive and drive contract with a known expenditure. Guess such a contract doesn't exist? You'll be very lucky to find a hire deal, that would include cover for mechanical damage. you can get cover for accident damage ( usually with a fairly hefty excess)
the safest way is to assume you are responsible for everything and work from there.
In the case of mechanical damage, if its obviously not abuse but a failure, most teams will sort a deal below 100%. if its something the driver did its all you..
Other than that negotiate before you get in the car. I was looking at a drive in a car that had suffered a number of gearbox failures, I was assured it had been rebuilt and the problems solved but still negotiated that I wouldnt be responsible for a gearbox failure. I'd also recommend making sure you have video and pref data logging in the car.
It is a hard one as its very easy to loose money running a hire car and as someone buying a drive you want to limit your liability.
I dont know of anyone hiring out a Class A tuscan but as has been said top cats, steve howard and maybe steve gugliami would be the places to start.
