At the Brussels Motorshow they showed the BMW 3GT in a "closed" room (you couldn't take pictures).
I was so prepared to hate it, just as I dislike the 5GT, but I have to admit it was much nicer than I had anticipated.
The rear deck is not as heavy as on the 5GT and its overall profile is not so dumpy, altough it certainly helped that it stood on 19" wheels (which it certainly needs).
Rear legroom is huge (+ 11cm) as it is based on the Chinese-market LWB 3-series and the overal length is just 7cm less than, a 5-series. Also it has a very big boot (a weakness on the 5GT).
With the exception of the 316d and the future M-engines, all engine options will be available.

I personally feel the pictures don't do it justice, as it is better looking in real life.

Blatant copy of the A5 Sportback. Works reasonably well with the 3-series styling, though.

Looks massive and from the sound of it, it is. but where there's a market there's a cross-over to fill it.
