I emailed the OP about a couple of bits which I missed out on, but I can't find the thread now.

Comments:

1) I have to say as a TVRCC mod some of your guys are getting a bit trigger happy before finding out the details or it would appear even reading the threads

Thread WAS read, the word that was missing in the original thread that got deleted was FREE STUFF!

No worries Al - you and I have been mates for long enough that we can laugh about it and not take offence.

Only thing I would say is it is damn frustrating (and incredibly draconian) to get an email from a "no reply" email address so you can't even ask "Why" or have the option to modify your posting to comply with the rules ... that was what put my back up!

Thanks for your understanding, I know it's a pain but you can always drop any mod a mail, or just ask in WF.

Hmm not convinced, I saw it and iirc the words that were included were 'giving away' and 'surplus to needs' with no request for payment, a quick email to the poster could have said 'if this is an ad it will be removed in x hours but if you make it plain it's free then please edit it'. His repost was called Free Stuff so I think that was obvious but that was removed as well.

I'm not trying to be controversial but I think a little moderation in moderation would go a long way

In Als defence I suspect the reason why my second posting was moderated (and accidentally deleted) was because I was being overly snotty after the first one - and I apologise for that...

Downside is you don't get to see how I was planning to get rid of the few bits that are left! (In fact I may just do it for the laugh anyway... )

I rather fancy PH is busier than TVRCC. It may not be practical to start discussions over every mod edit, even where friends are involved.
I think the mods are great.

PS, any mods listening, my frequent poster cheque's late this month.
