Wondering if anyone can recommend a monthly magazine that covers general aviation news. I work in design engineering of military aircraft, but I have a strong civil aviation interest as well, therefore looking for something with both military and civil covered.
I have read Airforces Monthly in the past, but want something will civil news in as well.
Any kind of recommendations welcome, thank you!

Aviation News is a general interest monthly magazine as is Air International.
Aviation News has had a long and chequered history. It started in 1972 as a fortnightly tabloid style aviation newspaper. It was founded by the late Alan Hall who was also a keen scale modeller so it had lots of modeller friendly articles - such as centrefold 1/72 plans. But it also contained very good and succinct news articles of both a civil and military nature. In the 1980s it became a monthly magazine with colour.
Later it merged with the monthly Air Pictorial and these days I feel it trends towards the Air Pictorial style of article rather than the original Aviation News type articles.
Air International originated as Air Enthusiast in the early 70s. It also has very good and well researched articles.
The modern trend is for specialisation rather than generalisation. Today we have specialist magazines for historic aviation, modern military aviation, modern civil aviation and airports etc so, apart from Flight International, which is very much industry based, the only general news magazines I can think of are the two I mentioned above.
There is an American equivalent of Flight International called Aviation Week and Space Technology.

If you work in the aviation industry, you might find membership of the Royal Aeronautical Society very useful.
You'll receive their regular publications, which cover both civil, military and GA, and invitations to their regular seminars around the country, covering many of the topics that should be relevant to you.
