I'm thinking about tuning the suspension on my AudiS6V10 with these KWS Coilovers:

Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with KWS products?

Cheers!

Pretty good; I had them on my Audi for a while.

But it never sat right (to me) so I went for a set of G-Maxx and they were really good, fully adjustable and very well made. They get excellent reviews.

The price is very low but the quality quite high.

I bought them from MotorsportWorld (I dealt with the very helpful Garry).

GMaxx - no fitment for S6. Not that I am adverse to "value" but at £451 I'd be questioning whether they should be going on my S6.

That said I'm looking at the KW because they have compression and rebound adjustment. I don't think the GMaxx would.

I had eibachs on a mk4 Golf years ago, they are made by KW. Great product, however the fixed damping made the ride awful

They revamped their product range and they're actually made by one of the others now, could be FK?

I was sceptical but thought them to be worth a punt for the price and then read some really good reviews of their latest range and I was very pleased.

The downside to them is this; they are not serviceable other than thread lubrication. they cannot be disassembled and components replaced like Eibach and other premium suspension ranges. This means they are disposable at some point. I saw my old Audi the other week and it was sitting quite low how I had it set up when I sold it so I'd imagine it is still running on the same suspension so they have been on for around 4 years now.

Yes I agree; don't get me wrong - I thought the ride and handling was brilliant on my KW's it was just that I couldn't get them adjusted for the car to sit right (IMHO) but that was purely aesthetics.

KW are at the high end of the budget range and good VFM.

I wouldn't dare fit G Maxx products to an S6.

In my experience I've found KW products to be fantastic, ride quality is excellent and the quality of the 'Inox' range is again, excellent.

yes To get much better, you will have to spend some serious money.

I had some Gmax shocks and springs on one of my old cars - they were pretty good for what they cost.
Wouldn't put them on an S6 though.
