I hope the interior is going to be nicer than the standard 3 series. I know that the leather and other bits are generally much better in the Ms but the dash, steering wheel and Nav Screen design in the new 3 are hideous in my view. Hopefully it won't spoil what is likely to be a great car.
You certainly have an impressive garage, Pugsey. Where will the M3 fit with your other recent purchases?

So, 444bhp, twin turbo straight six (brand new engine) eh? Turbos will upset some but return of 6 cylinder will be welcomed? Easy chip to 500bhp too I'd imagine.
..
Will be a bargain compared to this similarly powered V8 swansong...

I look forward to the new M3 - i reckon it will excite like the E46 & E30 M3's did.

Cheers! Way back I got into the cycle of making sure I had early orders in for anything exciting coming up. The first one was the ClioV6(Mk1) - see recent 'Spotted in the classified ' thread. Sometimes I take them when they arrive, sometimes I move them on. Nice to have the option! Had great fun with the six that I ran in the longtermers section of a well known car mag over the years.

As for the M3 - that'll be one I'll def take! Big Mcar fan.

Since when was it acceptable to call 4-door cars with limited rear space 'coupes'.
Coupe = 2-door.
It seems that 'Coupe' is used, more often than not, as a description of body shape rather than door configuration. As far as I can see the model we're discussing will be the coupe body - with four doors. For me that means the preferred body shape (as opposed to saloon) but with convenience of being able to lob stuff onto the back seats through the additional doors. Not sure I care WHAT they call it tboCoupe = 2-door.

Spring 2014 in the UK apparently.
'Concept' at Frankfurt this year, production model Geneva spring 2014 and UK sales that summer - apparently. Although anyone who's gone through the pleasure/pain of waiting for a new launch car will know, this may change. BMW better than most at sticking to schedules though.Gassing Station | M Power | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
