I'm inquiring about the "later model" esprits, lets say from 1990 and on.

I dont think i've ever seen the SE Highwing, GT3, V8-SE, or V8-GT advertised for sale in the USA?

Did they ever come over?

IIRC the V8-SE is basically the same as the US V8...

Nope. There was also the Sport 300 that North America missed out on. As I understand it, the V8 GT was just a 'bargain' V8 with the rear wing and air conditioning missing.

The V8-GT has lightweight fixed back seats trimmed in alcantara but the comfy armchair seats were an option. No air con as standard but every car I’ve seen bar the factory press car has this (it was a factory option).

The GT has no rear wing but has a larger transom (lip) spoiler to compensate. Interiors are vinyl rather than leather on some surfaces but you’d be hard pressed to tell

The changes add up to approx 40kg saving over a SE (usa) spec V8 esprit.

Think of the GT as a Esprit "club sport".
