I know this subject has come up many times, though these lights are becoming more rare by the day!
I've spoke to several breakers now in the Yorkshire area, all have dealings with Renault for the past 20-30 years. I get the same reply "NOT HAD A FUEGO IN SINCE THE 90's".
There has to be an alternative to the Fuego Lights??
On that note if anyone knows where to find a rear driver side light for a reasonable amount, please let me know...

Thanks

I seem to remember there being a thread on here where someone used 3 series BMW lenses, although they needed a little adjustment, fettling or bodging to fit. smash

I'll trawl through and update this when and if I find the thread.

Found it, here you go: http://www.pistonheads.com/xforums/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Mark, saw that thread a while ago, great idea though i just need the one this time.
Saying that, now they are becoming rare i think an alternative is needed sooner rather than later...
There will be a straight fit out there, just taking time in finding one i would say...
Thanks for the thread...

Hi Marcus,
I wouldn't go too much on that website's figures.
Here's a thread to a post I put up last year with a few interesting comments from fellow PH'ers.

yeah, it didn't too accurate.
We could always organise a Wedge trip to calaise and find the closest scrappies. There must be some fuegos in france or french scrappies!

Aha!
A trip to the cheese eating, surrender monkeys!
Given that's its bloomin miles for me to travel, before I even get to Dover, I'll pass on that one thanks wink unless we tie it into a trip to nurburgring or spa, or Le Mans or somewhere similar.
I always find it amazing that on the continent so few "proper" scrapyards exist as compared to here.
I guess it's a by product of their stringent recycling and reuse laws, etc.
C'est La Vie, hehe

aye, the chanel is about 450miles from me too.
Been looking at french ebay, there is a set for sale.....149eu per side!!!!!! Wish i bought one of these rust buckets in the 90's and mothballed it, a complete car must be worth a fortune.

We were talking about a wedge trip to france last year..Hopefully it will happen this year...Then when we come across a fuego a distraction of V8 roar will cover up the rustling of the rear lights going missing..C'est la vie

I'm pretty sure my 1987 280i has the same rear lights as some 1978 Lotus Esprit S2 - but mounted upside down. I wonder where they sourced theirs from.
