There is an annoying grinding noise coming from my radio aerial (even once it is up). More importantly, there is a faint noise coming from it when the car is switched off. The car wouldn't start the last two days and my guess is that this fault has drained the battery. I have put a new battery and the car started more easily than usual, suggesting that the old battery (which was probably 7 years old) was dieing. To stop this noise, and to prevent the new battery being drained, I am wondering whether I can take the fuse out to disable the aerial. Is that feasible and can you tell me which fuse to take out?

Thanks

To disable the aerial seems a bit extreme and it won't look like a radio controlled car anymore, maybe the elecric motor is still trying to wind it up/down when it is aleady fully up/down.Why not replace the aerial as they are only about £10 on Ebay and easy to fit, took me about five mins max.
