Hi Ecurie
I signed up for one of the London events, really looking forward to it.
Can I ask how far in advance did you receive the actual tickets/location? Just it's not far off now 6th Feb (10 days).
Thanks

I went to the Manchester one last night. The car is stunning in the flesh - the detailing is wonderful and the driving position superb.
Anyone got any ideas as to how much depreciation one would suffer over its first 3 years? (Got to try to justify a purchase somehow)
Can of worms. I'd assume 50% of pre-optioned list price as a price to sell to the trade. May also depend upon if you get an early car or not. Did you get any indication of delivery for a car ordered now? That may help judge demand.Anyone got any ideas as to how much depreciation one would suffer over its first 3 years? (Got to try to justify a purchase somehow)

I believe that a typical dealer will get 25 - 30 cars a year.
So a successful launch and press reaction will create demand and limited supply, unless jaguar are being naughty and saying 25 - 30 but have plans to increase production.
The dealers are hoping for an 'Evoque' effect in terms of supply and demand and therefore strong prices for a year or so.

I can't help thinking that Jaguar has missed its window of opportunity by delaying the arrival of the Coupe by 18 months.
Porsche has already seized the initiative with the new Cayman S....by the time Jaguar get the Coupe F Type in the showroom the market will have moved on and newer rival cars will be on the scene like the Alfa 4C.
The F type already feels like it's been out for a long time given the protracted media hype and lead-in period. The Coupe needs to be on sale this year.

I think generally cars are launched way too early before reviews or actual sales start. Hype just wears of quickly nowadays. But it is a freaking great time to be in a market for sports car: Corvette C7, Alfa 4C, New Cayman, 997/987 are cheap now
,991,F-type, BRZ/GT86... There will be more to come especially when new wave of Japanese sports cars arrive(NSX,Supra,Alfa-MX5....)
