Hi All.

Hoping you Audiophiles can help a little bit. Moving into the new house next weekend, and finally I have a nice room to scope for music. There will be a big sofa, 50" TV, but I don't currently have an home audio equipment bar my alarm clock/radio. So, its starting a fresh.

Looking for something to work with the TV, and also play CD's if need be. Budget is £500 at current, things are a little tight, but would like something simple.

Only thing into the TV, is the Xbox 360 at current. Forza 4 in Surround would be amazing mind biggrin

Thanks!

A budget DAC, Cambridge Audio should be possible for under £100 on eBAY.
Amp, plenty of Arcam amps under £100 or Mission Cyrus 1/2 again on eBAY.
Speaker the world is you're oyster. Pick up plenty of decent stuff cheap. Mission752 /3 for £200 ish.
Keep an eye out for anything made by Royd. All are good. Rega a personal favourite for the money you can pick them up at. EL8 are excellent. Might need a sub for cinema sound though. I bought a pair for £18!
Currently running Rega Jura, usually available for under £200.

Or you could just buy a Monitor Audio Vector kit at £300 with a Yam RXV373 at £220 (Richer Sounds).
