Apart from the awful Kahn aditions, what makes it a DB9S? Does it have any extra power?

I'd buy a standard one instead.

The full Kahn DB9 catalogue by the looks of it!
OKish boot spoiler, very poor rear bumper addition, ish front bumper, fking awful sills, oversized Kahn tractor wheels, a bit of Alcantra/suede in side, a poorly fixed S on the DB9 badge, some S decals on the calipers and bugger all else

Very early car as well so I'd say overpriced?
Probably a footballist's ex car from around there
Though that dealer normally has some nice stock

I recently bought a DB9 October 2007 , 40,000 miles from Stratstone with 2 year warranty for £43k so the car looks very expensive and the interior colour is shall we say an acquired taste - seeking not to offend anyone that likes it.

Love the orange one though

Rarely see any modified Astons or even aftermarket wheels that improve the car. Particularly don't understand why the AMericans insist on putting larger wheels on Astons - maybe they only ever go in a straight line ?

Back to he old seat switch chestnut though - I wonder if the two main losenge buttons which you can see very clearly in the photos of the Kahn - I wonder if they could quite literally be pulled off and swapped for the silver buttons on the later switches.....not the whole switching sytem, just the two main buttons

Have you been on 6speed Aston section recently? Every other post is some poor over wheeled skateboard
The seat chestnut would be a good one to solve, might have a chat with Mike & BR and see what can be done whilst mine is in

I'm glad it's not just me. On the rare times I've been on that American car forum it seems every post in the Aston section is along the lines of "check out my new 27" rims"

All they do is make the car look worse. No doubt the ride will be worse and the cornering can't be as good due to the rubber band tyres.

Never seen that one, there was a silver/grey/something dull one that did the rounds for a long while at about 100 grand, madness!

I don't think the styling is too bad although the RSVs don't suit the DB9. Stick a Bamford Rose manifold and cat sysem on it and them it >would< be a DB9S

That's right but I'm thinking just the two main buttons, not the rest of the switch set up - they must just clip on so IF it's the same type of connection, could be very easy - I know it would leave black memory buttons but they aren't nearly as obtrusive as the two main buttons

I really do have to bite my proverbial lip - I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that but I don't get it - it comes across as so immature - once you have a beautiful car with optimised wheel size selection & ride height, why mess with it ?!?

I have seen this car banded around. I think the real issue with it is that it is a little bit over the top and the inside looks very worn. That coupled with the fact that it is really an early DB9 means it seems overpriced to me. Everyone knows no matter what add-ons you put on a car they are rarely going to increase the price and yet they try when it comes to "Khan" things. Mistake if you ask me as then only two kinds of people buy them - ones with too much money and who don't care or ones with a little unusual taste.

I'm an American, and this stuff makes me cringe. Those posts are often by the wheel dealers, but not all of them. It's something of a cult unto itself, and it has infiltrated all cars -- Honda, Benz, Ferrari, Bentley (perhaps most of all), and on and on. The SUVs with 72" wheels are truly frightening. Sadly, Astons are not immune. You nearly never see it at AMOC events, though (at least not in the Northeast).
