after a few hours computer runs out of memory..?

Icons start to dissapear,little parts of pages go missing,programs freeze eventually etc,sometimes if gives the message ' there isnt enough memory to open this program/file '

not a major problem,as reboot and its good as,but I cant leave it on overnight etc

it feels like the ram is filling up,and not emptying >? at a guess... , any ideas ?

only things ive changed recently is the cpu,after installing a xp2800 and faffing around with clocking it these symtems have appeared,even if all is at standard settings.

Sounds more like a virus / spyware program running.

Have you tried AdAware to get rid of anything dodgy?

If it's Win9x, I'm afraid it's par for the course.

Sounds more like your CPU is overheating. Check your jumper settings, usually if you change something and then the problem starts, it's the change that caused it.

Could be a duff CPU. run some diags on it outside windoze to see if it still keels over.
