997 Tubo Gen II
Discussion
Just looking at a 997 Tubo Gen II PDK had a manual 996 and 997 and missing the cars badly so trying to get back into the right car. Is PTVS I think it stands for Porsche torque vectoring a must have when buying u used car? It's got Sports Chrono and lots of other nice spec but no PTVS. Would this put the next buyer off is it like buyer a car with no Sports Chrono a disaster to move on one day

I think, if you are buying a 997 Turbo Gen 2, then it's best to try to get one with as many options as possible - ideally the 'S' which included everything.
The press said that the Gen 2s handled better than the Gen 1s, and this may well have been due to options like torque vectoring, etc.

PTV makes a significant difference to the driving experience when combined with PTM. PTV makes the 911 feel lighter and more nimble, with understeer markedly reduced/almost eliminated, and turn-in feels instant as the 911 feels like it has a degree of rear-wheel steer. This was the main handling difference between my 7.2GTS4 (PTM, no PTV) and my 7.2 TurboS (PTM, with PTV).
In terms of 7.1 vs 7.2 for the 4wd models, PTM is a game changer as well. 7.2 PTM is genuinely seamless in operation, whereas the 4wd viscous coupling used in the 7.1 is relatively crude and Audi Quattro like. PTM-equipped, the 911 effectively feels almost purely rear wheel drive, and the assistance it provides when torque is shuffled to the front axle is imperceptible and instant. A significant improvement over the old viscous coupled 7.1 4wd.
