I'm trying to book a reasonably priced hotel in Bath on what appears to be a very busy weekend. I've found a hotel which fits the bill but am a bit unsure about booking. Speaking to the hotel themselves they're saying that they have a 2 night minimum stay on the weekend - I only want one night. Most booking sites such as expedia and bookings.com are saying that the hotel is fully booked anyway, however Agoda.com seems to indicate that they have vacancies and would accept a booking for the one night.

I'm a bit confused, and don't want to run the risk of turning up to find no room booking or have it rejected by the hotel when it's too late to find an alternative. Has anyone used Agoda before? Is there a reason why they seem to offer availiblity and flexibility which others don't?

I use Agoda a fair amount. I've never had a problem. It might be that the hotel has not updated availability on Agoda, but has on the other sites.

If it's a while away, book it and see if the hotel or Agoda cancel it.

It's only a couple of weeks away unfortunately (9th Feb check in). I'm probably just suspicious about giving my credit card details away when the offer seems a bit too good to be true and the hotel won't accept the booking directly.

Agoda is fine, I booked several times through them in the last few months. A good service I find.

Yep, used them as well. No issues.
