Hi,

VERY long time lurker. Thought I'd say hello as I recently purchased my 996.1
Loads of history, seals done/uprated parts when clutch replaced, LOTS of invoices over the years, time warp condition.
Incredibly well looked after during its life and a tradition I will upkeep.
Will be going into Baz at Hartech for service once the weather allows.

Couldn't be happier. Well, if only the sun would come out!

Going to be used purely as a weekend / evening out toy.

Anyway, no doubt I will have a lot of questions to ask over the coming years.

Cheers smile

Very nice looking car.
Is it on standard suspension and exhaust?
Enjoy!!

Thanks,

Car has a full MO30 Porsche kit - 4 shocks, uprated front and rear anti roll bars, new top mounts, poly bushes, new drop links and track rod ends. It then got set up on a geometry ramp, camber, wheel alignment etc. Work carried out at RPM Technik Porsche just before I purchased it. A 2.5k bill!

A few thousand miles prior to this it had the clutch replaced along with seals and updated parts to protect against the reported engine failures on the 996.

Just one of many invoices that came in an encyclopaedia brittanica size folder!

The exhaust is by Cargraphic - the sport model? Sounds lovely smile

Well done on the 996! If you need to cross-compare histories or have Q&A then I'll try to help smile

I wouldn't bother. It looks quite clean as it is. A wing might just ruin it.

Looks great as it is, but with those skirts, it is kind of calling out for a wing!!

I think a small subtle wing might be in order. Good stance and with those wheels and skirts a little something to finish off the rear would be nice.

Tend to agree, obviously at speed the rear spoiler is raised but when not etc.

From the front I think it looks great, from the rear something amiss...

Yep, perhaps something smaller may suit the car better. Any ideas? wink

Very nice, used to have one very similar look and condition etc myself before my Turbo.

Sold with 25k miles, loved that car.

As for spoilers, as I say mine was almost the same as yours but had the "Carrera" rear spoiler. Like the Mk1 GT3 spoiler but turned down a bit.

I liked it, but each to there own. As has been mentioned, with all the other kit on there it is almost screaming out for a spoiler smile

Welcome Lamplight,

lovely car!
We are currently searching high and low for a similar car for my mate. He wants a pre-facelift C2 manual with the aerokit etc.
They don't come up very often at all and there is some real crap out there, as we're finding out.

Yours looks clean as a whistle and sits really nicely.

+1 with regard to getting a GT3 wing on there. Would finish it off nicely. It could never ruin it given how good MK1 GT3s look. smile

Hi there, that's a clean looking car and you must be proud of it. It's good to see a 911 where the spare will fit in the boot, my 19" wheels just won't do it.

After a few trips through snow, my car's looking pretty shayte right now, so when the weather thaws out it's due for a good clean.

Best of luck to you with the new car.

Thanks. Yep was quite a search to find it, this was the nicest one I saw condition wise and was quite stunned with the supporting paperwork. Will give some thought on a GT3 spoiler - no idea where to get one though - eBay seems ridiculously priced...

Thanks so much. Yeah I'm really proud of it. In my 40's now so took quite a long time to be able to have one!
